Default Smoking

Cigarette smoking is injurious to health. This was the statutory warning along with the advertisement of Cigarette. Now the warning is direct and it states that cigarette smoking will cause cancer. You may like to set aside the issue of cancer. There is no doubt that Smoking may cause problems in heart, lungs, stomach. It is a fact that most of the smokers are males.

I feel sympathetic with chain smokers and I don't know whether smoking is taken seriously by all smokers. It seems no one cares about the ill and side effects of smoking. I just give few things related with smoking.

Quote:
The effects of smoking on human health are serious and in many cases, deadly. There are approximately 4000 chemicals in cigarettes, hundreds of which are toxic. The ingredients in cigarettes affect everything from the internal functioning of organs to the efficiency of the body's immune system. The effects of cigarette smoking are destructive and widespread.

How Does Smoking Affect the Heart and Blood Vessels?

Cigarette smoking causes about 1 in every 5 deaths in the United States each year. It’s the main preventable cause of death and illness in the United States.

Smoking harms nearly every organ in the body, including the heart, blood vessels, lungs, eyes, mouth, reproductive organs, bones, and digestive organs. This article focuses on how smoking affects the heart and blood vessels.

Other Diseases and Conditions Index articles, such as COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), Bronchitis, and Cough, discuss how smoking affects the lungs.
Overview
Smoking and Your Heart and Blood Vessels

The chemicals in tobacco smoke harm blood cells and can damage the function of the heart and the structure and function of blood vessels. This damage increases your risk of atherosclerosis (ath-er-o-skler-O-sis).

Atherosclerosis is a disease in which a fatty substance called plaque (plak) builds up in the arteries. Over time, plaque hardens and narrows your arteries. This limits the flow of oxygen-rich blood to your organs and other parts of your body.

Coronary heart disease (CHD), also called coronary artery disease, occurs if plaque builds up in the coronary (heart) arteries. Over time, CHD can lead to chest pain, heart attack, heart failure, arrhythmias (ah-RITH-me-ahs), or even death.

Smoking by itself is a major risk factor for heart disease. When combined with other risk factors—such as unhealthy blood cholesterol levels, high blood pressure, and overweight or obesity—smoking further raises the risk of heart disease.

Smoking also is a major risk factor for peripheral arterial disease (P.A.D.). P.A.D. is a condition in which plaque builds up in the arteries that carry blood to the head, organs, and limbs. People who have P.A.D. are at increased risk of heart disease, heart attack, and stroke.

Smoking is so very addictive! My father smoked all of his life and finally managed to stop about a year before he died. It has a pull on you psychologically as well as physically and I really believe the manufacturers have managed to put enough chemicals into the mix that it makes it very addictive. Cigarettes didn't used to have so many chemicals in them although they still weren't very healthy for you.

The thing with smoking is that not only does the smoker get the diseases, the people around him who will also be affected by the smoke. There are many cases where a person who doesn't smoke at all will die because of diseases that developed from second-hand smoke.

Smokers rather die of the health risks of smoke than stress... Stress will age and kill you 50 times faster, slow down your healing cell regeneration rate and make your skin sag.Why let something ilke that control you. You can choose to pass by them and keep going. Be strong and know that cigarettes are poison. Smoking is pointless AND HURTS YOU and others.

Smoking not only hurts the smoker, but do double damage to passive smokers. Even after claiming the ill-effects of smoking is known and established, smokers never give a second thought to stop from the habit. It takes a great deal of determination and courage to stop smoking.

I have never seen anyone supporting smoking. I wonder why the rulers of different countries do not take steps to ban the use of tobacco. I can tell you tale of an Egyptian king who, during the early 4the century, banned the worship of cat. It is now a part of history. Hence it is possible to save us all.

Why no government put a ban on tobacco manufacturing? While there is most against than supportive views available for smoking, tobacco as a industry as grown to enormous size and employs millions of people across the globe. It's a livelihood for many in the under-developed or developing countries and even in most developed countries too. But the strong case is the cartel which supports tobacco manufacturing and the weakness of the general public to rise voice against tobacco in unison.

Smoking is one of the most common forms of recreational drug use. Tobacco smoking is today by far the most popular form of smoking and is practiced by over one billion people in the majority of all human societies. Less common drugs for smoking include cannabis and opium. Some of the substances are classified as hard narcotics, like heroin, but the use of these is very limited as they are often not commercially available. You must should stop smoking.....
